DER ZIBET | ISSAY gave life to FLOWERS (tribute album)

On August 5, 2023 the music industry was shaken by the sudden loss of ISSAY, the enigmatic frontman of the iconic band DER ZIBET. ISSAY, a man known for his unique talent and gentle nature, tragically passed away at the age of 61 following a fall after a happy gathering with friends. In honor of ISSAY’s memory and his contributions to the music world, a tribute album is currently in the works, featuring more than 70 artists, who held a deep love and respect for him (READ MORE). Titled ISSAY gave life to FLOWERS, this tribute album honors the late ISSAY, the solitary rock poet and frontman of DER ZIBET. The tribute includes numerous artists such as SUGIZO, Masami Tsuchiya welcoming ISSAY to KA.F.KA, Yusuke Kobayashi and MORRIE, among others.

ALBUM PODUCTION:
– Produced by Hajime Okano, who has previously worked with DER ZIBET and L’Arc~en~Ciel.
– Features over 70 musicians covering ISSAY’s soulful works.
– Funded through crowdfunding and supported by friends and musicians close to ISSAY/DER ZIBET.
– Major labels are re-releasing and unlocking DER ZIBET’s past works for streaming.
– Release Date: 2024/07/06
