D’ESPAIRSRAY announces first one-man show in 15 years – “RAPTURE” at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on May 4 (2026) & more surprises revealed below!
After over a decade of silence, the iconic industrial metal/rock band D’ESPAIRSRAY has officially announced their long-awaited return to the stage. Formed in 1999, and known for their dark elegance, ferocious live shows, D’ESPAIRSRAY ceased all activities in 2011 due to vocalist HIZUMI’s vocal condition. While each member continued to pursue musical careers over the years, the idea of reunion remained a distant hope — until NOW!
On September 9th, the anniversary of the band’s formation, D’ESPAIRSRAY will sure stun fans by revealing that they will reunite for a one-night-only solo performance titled D’ESPAIRSRAY LIVE 2026『RAPTURE』on May 4, 2026, at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo (Japan). This will mark their first solo concert in 15 years.
Alongside the concert announcement, the band has just relaunched their official fan club [un]Beautiful, and made their entire discography available on streaming platforms for the first time ever. This long-anticipated move makes it possible for a new generation of listeners to rediscover D’ESPAIRSRAY’s intense sonic universe, from early underground releases to their major-label discography.
To celebrate this new chapter, the band will host a livestream tonight at 9:09 PM JST (2:00 PM CEST) on their official YouTube channel, where all four members, HIZUMI, Karyu, ZERO, and TSUKASA, will speak about the path that led them here, the emotions behind the decision to reunite, and what fans can expect going forward.
