lynch. | Live-Report @ Spotify O-EAST [JP] (2025)

No gentle prelude, no slow unfurling of tension. Only the intoxicating collision of precision and chaos that has become their signature. The show was a living thing: band & fans feeding, breathing, bleeding together. At Spotify O-EAST, lynch. didn’t just conclude a tour — they summoned a storm.

Beneath the electric haze of neon and sweat at Spotify O-EAST (Tokyo), lynch. drew the curtain on their TOUR’25 UNDERNEATH THE GREED in a furious bloom of sound. But true to their ever-restless spirit, they didn’t simply close a chapter. They also unveiled the final movements of their 20th anniversary project: XX act:8, XX act:9, and the much-anticipated XX FINAL ACT (details below).

But first things first. On the night of Friday, June 20th, the storm broke without warning. No gentle prelude, no slow unfurling of tension. lynch. tore onto the stage with an immediacy that made the walls hum and the floorboards quake. The first note sliced the air like a blade honed by two decades of fervor. No warm-up. No hesitation. Only the intoxicating collision of precision and chaos that is their signature. Within that tempest, no single member eclipsed the others. There was balance — a rare, shimmering equilibrium — a band in full flight, every part essential to the dark, harmonious whole. Each musician, each voice, shone; no one was left in shadow. Beneath them, the audience didn’t merely watch. They became part of it — a furious, radiant force of their own. Every word was echoed, every riff met with a storm of motion: headbanging, dancing, surrendering.
From the outset, lynch. unleashed their full force — a relentless barrage of fury, with songs that snarled and clawed at the senses, their blade sharpened by twenty years of fire. But as the night unfolded, the storm shifted. At the heart of the setlist, they wove in a sequence of quieter, more introspective pieces. These weren’t moments of diminished intensity — far from it. The power turned inward, pulling the crowd into a deep, immersive space where the fury burned beneath the surface rather than above it. Time seemed to stretch, the venue transformed into a world within a world, as if we had all fallen into some shared, hidden current. Then, almost imperceptibly at first, lynch. began to stoke the flames again, song by song, until the last note. At the very end, when vocalist HAZUKI roared: “I love you!”, it wasn’t some hollow rock cliché. It was raw, unvarnished truth. The band reached out — literally — clasping hands, dissolving the fragile boundary between stage and floor. The show was a living thing: band and fans feeding, breathing, bleeding as one. And as the final notes faded into the electric night, lynch. revealed the next chapters of their anniversary odyssey.

During the show, the band announced XX act:8 — the release of their 2nd RETAKE ALBUM on September 24, 2025, THE AVOIDED SUN / SHADOWS. A lavish four-disc opus (three CDs and a Blu-ray), it promises to breathe new, blistering life into 26 tracks from their incandescent indie-era landmarks. A newly forged anthem, written in the crucible of this anniversary, will crown the collection, accompanied by a music video and behind-the-scenes film. Early reservations promise rare treasures: B2 posters and intimate signing events in Shinjuku, Osaka and Nagoya.
The band’s visual — unveiled alongside the announcement — channels the ghost of SHADOWS-era ferocity: black leather, stark industrial minimalism, a silhouette at once familiar and thrillingly reborn.
XX act:9 will see lynch. traverse 14 cities from October to December on TOUR’25 THE AVOIDED SHADOWS, bearing this retake opus as both offering and weapon.
And at last — the summit of this year-long pilgrimage —XX FINAL ACT. On December 28th, 2025, at Tokyo Garden Theater, lynch. 20TH ANNIVERSARY XX FINAL ACT ALL THIS WE’LL GIVE YOU will not be merely a concert, but an act of devotion — the closing stanza of a symphony two decades in the making.

lynch. stands at the cusp of their final act of their 20th anniversary, not with a whisper, but with a roar. And the concert held on June 20th at Shibuya made it clear: lynch. is a band that gives everything — and a strong fanbase that gives it back, note for note, heartbeat for heartbeat.
