Following the release of their EP, delusional inflammation, kein tore open a wound at SUPERNOVA KAWASAKI. Tension spread like a deep cut — growing, burning, unstoppable. Wall-to-wall bodies moved in sync, each stomp and scream wired into the collective pulse.
Tension, sweat and five musicians delivering a tightly and emotionally charged set to a crowd that came ready to move. kein’s tour final kicked off at 17:35. The energy in the room escalated fast, each track layering distortion, syncopation, and dynamics into a steadily building pressure cooker. By mid-set, the floor had become a living metronome — arms, heads, and stomps all locked in tight rhythmic unison.
Vocalist Maco, as always, didn’t just sing — he embodied. His intense stares, jerking, puppet-like movements gave the set a sinister, theatrical edge, as if something darker was being let loose with each verse. His phrasing felt like incantation — intense, urgent, at times dissonant — as if something darker was being summoned through the mic. Guitarist Reo began the night with a measured presence — minimal gestures, a steady stance, and the calm focus of someone conducting chaos from the inside. But the deeper into the set, the more that control unraveled into expressive intensity. He attacked each riff and each guitar solo: deliberate, dynamic, and emotionally loaded. aie, whose name was chanted repeatedly throughout the night by fans, spent much of the set near the edge of the stage, drawing the front row in with a kind of quiet intimacy. His phrasing on guitar was fluid — a mix of ambient textures and distortion-soaked leads that blurred the line between melody and atmosphere. Yuki, on bass, played with laser focus and a gaze that didn’t blink, stepping forward often to anchor the rhythm section with tight, syncopated groove. His tone was heavy and articulate, locking in tightly with the drum patterns. And though Sally was sat behind the kit and stage setup, his playing was anything but — driving, sharp, and essential to the show’s momentum. Each fill and cymbal crash landed with perfect timing, keeping the set rhythmically taut.
Packed wall to wall — every arm, every head, every stomp locked into the music like muscle memory. The audience shouted for two encores, but they still seemed unsatisfied. Quietly, without much ceremony, Reo decided that night to add another date: kein will be playing at Spotify O-WEST (Shibuya) on October 9, 2025. A surprising and sudden decision that seemed to come from how this tour felt — well-received and clearly a step forward. Whatever’s coming next, they’re building toward something bigger.
