INORAN | Live-Report @ Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, Tokyo [JP] (2025)

With charisma, warmth, and his undeniable drive for connection, INORAN showed that Niraikanai -Rerecorded is not a return but a renewal. From pure energy to communal joy, Shibuya saw INORAN at his most alive.

On September 26, VMJ published an interview with INORAN about Niraikanai -Rerecorded — a project that reawakens his 2007 solo album while carrying it into the present. He spoke with heart about how landscapes and people shape creativity, and about longing as the fire that keeps us alive. The next day, on September 27, that philosophy took on sound and light at Shibuya Club Quattro, the opening night of his Niraikanai -Rerecorded tour’s tour titled Determine Tour 2025. The venue glowed like a lounge: lights framed the amps, candles flickered, and a rug stretched across the floor. It felt intimate, more like a living room than a rock club. An invitation rather than a show.
The show began with the opening SE, Discus. A deep bassline rolled out, pulling the crowd into claps. The musicians appeared: Yukio Murata (guitar), Ryo Yamagata (drums) and U:ZO (bass). Then INORAN followed. No guitar this time, just the mic. Center stage, front man, vocalist. Dressed in his own brand Four Hydrangea, he moved constantly, climbing onto the small platform for the whole audience to see, leaning into the beat, waving at familiar faces. He locked eyes, pointed into the crowd, made contact. The energy was instant and magnetic. He was present in the moment, fully enjoying himself.
Tension built quickly. Riffs cut sharp, drums pounded, and INORAN’s presence tied it all together. His charisma filled the room — playful, commanding, alive. During raize, he slipped behind guitarist Yukio Murata for a spontaneous back hug, both of them laughing mid-song. It was a reminder: even serious records can explode into joy on stage. The show shifted pace with Cloudiness and Walk Along. Softer light, gentler sway. Hands rose on his cue, the audience moving as one. Later, Sonzai no Kakera carried the emotional peak. Eyes closed, shoulders bent forward, INORAN sang as if every note was both burden and release. His MC’s were light and spontaneous. He laughed a lot, made people laugh even more. He admitted he hadn’t planned much, and compared the audience’s energy to a Genki Dama — a giant energy ball. The crowd cheered back, and laughed. The concert went on and, INORAN allowed photos during Unstoppable. “One song is enough” – he joked. Lights lifted, phones rose, and fans captured a piece of the night without breaking its flow. For a few minutes, the digital and the live balanced on the same beat.

After a break, INORAN reappeared on stage with a guitar in hand. Beautiful Now burst bright, followed by Rightaway, where the floor jumped, bandmates screamed, and the room turned electric. INORAN put down his guitar, grabbed the mic, and leaned over the crowd. Smiles everywhere. A surprise birthday cake appeared on stage. The whole venue – musicians, staff members and attendees – sung the Happy Birthday song to INORAN. INORAN teased, laughed, thanked. And the band went on with All We Are to close the night. Every hand raised, every voice joining. The band lined up, bowed, and the lights lingered just long enough for the audience to breathe it in.
With charisma, warmth, and his undeniable drive for connection, INORAN showed that Niraikanai -Rerecorded is not a return but a renewal. From pure energy to communal joy, Shibuya saw INORAN at his most alive. His mountain, for now, is this tour — and he’s inviting everyone to climb it with him. So, don’t miss it!

自動翻訳で読んだけど、すごく本質的なことにも迫っていてとても興味深かった。big gurlの具体的な由来についての話なんて初めて聞いたし。

Here’s my take on what was a turning point in LUNA SEA’s journey. I approached it from a wider angle than a standard report, as the weight of the circumstances made it feel heavier & deeper. Grateful to the band & crew for the invitation — truly honored to have witnessed it. 🖖🏼

Spent years watching Michael Jackson be crucified by the media and public opinion. Now, watching his resurrection got me thinking about revisionism, crowd psychology, and Japan’s very different relationship with artists. A article that finally found its way out. 🖖🏻
